I want to connect Nikon D90 Digital SLR camera to the PC and control the shutter speed and aperture diameter using matlab program to obtain image.Is this possible? can any one help me out in this problem?

I don't know. Do you have the Image Acquisition Toolbox? If so, does
it come with drivers for that camera? If not, does Nikon provide
software to interface with MATLAB? Some manufacturers provide their
own and that software may not come bundled with the Image Acquisition
Toolbox.

not without the camera maker providing interfacing software (eg, a dll with ACTXSERVER callable routines) to do this...
