Consider equation (1) below under the given conditions.

x^k + (1/4)y^k = 0 mod(k^2) (1)

Conditions: k is prime to xy, y is even, both x, y are integers and
each > 1, prime k > 3

Question: Is (1) consistent?

Any helpful comments with a numerical example will be appreciated
