Finally have all the kinks worked out of my pp2007 presentation. Now I want
to convert it to a dvd so we can watch it on the TV. What steps do I need to
take at this point? feel like I am finally on the home stretch with this
Christmas project.

Google for either a PPT to video conversion program or a screen recorder
program (a free one but isn't great for doing what you want to do) is
Autoscreen Recorder from www.wisdom-soft.com. Once you have the PPT as a
video file you "author it" to a DVD using a DVD authoring program like Nero
or even Vista's DVD creating program in Movie Maker.

Lots of information on the internet if you simply Google "PowerPoint to DVD"

I use Camtasia (it's not free, but the quality is on top)
