From: pierre on 11 May 2010 15:53 hi all i use the ctrl+F to find a specific number within a column, but sometimes excel tells me that the data couldnt be found , knowing that the required number is present within the column .. PS: i use a lot (bold, comma style, font) any suggestion ?? thanks.......
From: "David Biddulph" groups [at] on 11 May 2010 16:14 Have another think about how the number is stored. For example, if you look for 123.0, you probably won't find it because it will be stored as 123. Similarly, if you are looking for 123.5 and you think that you can see it there, you'll need to check whether you've really got 123.5 or whether you've got 123.4999999 displayed as 123.5 -- David Biddulph "pierre" <pierre(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:72BE3A7E-5B55-46C9-82F1-2E9B64D7BF42(a)microsoft.com... > hi all > i use the ctrl+F to find a specific number within a column, but sometimes > excel tells me that the data couldnt be found , knowing that the required > number is present within the column .. > PS: i use a lot (bold, comma style, font) > any suggestion ?? > > thanks.......
