HEllo there,

I have a concrete problem. Namely, I have the samples of an unknown function which depends on two variables - f(x,y) and I do not know how to obtain the function expression. The expression should be as simple as possible (polynomial for example). polyfit is pretty good for functions which depends on one variable, but useless if the function is two ore more variable dependent.

Can you, please advise me hot to get expression f(x,y)?
And what about the three variable function f(x,y,z), can you suggest me how to get this expression under condition that I have function samples?
