From: scrabbler on 22 Dec 2009 19:00 When I try to defragment I am asked to buy diskkeeper lite. It does not allow me to defragment witout this programme. Should I not automatically have a free degragmentation programme with windows XP.

When you installed Diskeeper Lite, it changed the program association to itself as the default defragmenter program. If you don't want to use or pay for it then uninstall it. Hopefully it reassociates the Windows dfrg.msc (which uses defrag.exe) as the default defragmenter.
