From: lsw00kor on 5 Jun 2010 12:11 Hello all. There is an early type of space-time codes called 'delay diversity'. To refresh your memory, y(t) = h0 x x1. y(t+T) = h0 * x2 + h1 * x1 y(t+2T) = h0 * x3 + h1 * x2 This is of course equivalent to a frequency selective transmission of two symbols. Here is what I don't understand. 1) In the textbook such as David Tse's fundamentals of wireless communicaions, only MLSD is suggested for decoding. But, is there any linear decoding scheme for delay diversity? 2) Either linear decoding or MLSD, how can we show that some 'diversity gain' can be extracted? Thank you in advance, and hope to have good discussion with you folks.
