All,

With the acquisition of Sun Microsystems by Oracle now being closed
we'll see some immediate changes to our site and product. This reflects
the fact that Oracle replaces Sun in its role as part of the
OpenOffice.org project.

* source header
The copyright notice will be altered in all files on trunk and the
templates adjusted too.

* license file in installation set
The copyright notice will be changed.

* splash screen / about box
The current splash screen (thanks to Jacek) will be kept in memory after
the many times we have seen it in more than a year. But it's time to
start a refreshment as soon as 3.2 is released for the splash screen and
about box because the current visuals do not get along well with new
colors and shapes the superseding sponsor logo introduces. To
accommodate that initially these elements will carry only the
OpenOffice.org logo, the modified text and the sponsor logo on white
background. For a new splash we count on an effort run by the OOo project.

* site footer
The logo and the trademark attribution notice will be adapted.

These are the most visible and pressing occurrences. I'm sure there are
many more that we have to consider. This will happen over time.
