No help for the microtek scanner, but I have a very old (in computer terms) inexpensive parallel port DEXXA Flatbedscanner 4800. DEXXA no longer exists, but in reality the scanner is an Artec AS6E with a different brand name.They still provide drivers on the Artec website, which also support Win XP in the compatibility mode.
