I recently upgraded to windows 7 and 2009b, and aside from the problems this bug is bringing me (http://www.mathworks.com/support/bugreports/582876), I'm having trouble keeping my path and default path when I open.
I File>Set Path, save, and because of permissions I now have to save pathdef.m somewhere. I put it in Documents/MATLAB/., but when I restart, this file isn't read, and I have to manually set path once again. Also, pwd is by default c:\Program Files\MATLAB\2009b\, which I don't have permissions for. How can I get it to always open with pwd=Documents/MATLAB?
