Heads up everybody. Below is info about another bair and switch operation.

Company: WebMinds Inc. (EasyDuplicateFinder.com)

Several of their programs have been discussed here. Below are links to
download sites that feature these apps. Downloads hosted by the download
sites (when available) match the file sizes that are shown in the
descriptions. Downloads direct from the author do not.

Upgrade (obtain a full unrestricted license)
To upgrade the Trial Version of Easy Duplicate Finder to the full
licensed version simply click here.

IF you want to see how the site has "evolved" use the Wayback Machine:

The only PAD file I could find:
<http://www.easyduplicatefinder.com/files/easyduplicate.xml>
FWIW that PAD file says "Easy Duplicate File Finder" is freeware. . .

So many scammers, so little time. . .

Oops, my bad. . .

Says it's "Shareware" that doesn't cost anything and doesn't time out.

So I am assuming that 2.4.1 is the LAST freeware version ?

Last Freeware version? Surely you jest. . .

There are AT LEAST THREE "program names" containing "easy", "duplicate"
and "finder" that are associaated with the same domain
(EasyDuplicateFinder.com)). There are AT LEAST TWO different *files*
associated with each of the three "program and version" combinations
that I checked. I have no idea what you'll *have* if you download a file
that purports to be version 2.4.1 of one of those program names.

IOW it's a new way to play Russian Roulette.
