I received error code 0x800703EE when trying to install SP2 for vista-32bit
OS. any help with this error code would be appreciated.

Hello Jimmy,

0x800703EE ERROR_FILE_INVALID
System could not allocate the required space in a registry log;
The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened
file is no longer valid.
