I use TeraTerm at work. It supports X/Y/Zmodem. You can find more info here.

I was thinking of using another north west passage. Transfer the data
to my
working(?) XP system and write a CD for my WIN7 system.
Unfortunately, the XP
system can no longer use house power. I have a nearly derelict XP
system that can
charge a battery but this is soo clumsy, it's nearly impossible.
Repairing laptops
is a HIGH cost proposition. I hope that the USB to SERIAL adapter
that's comming
will have something on its disk. If not, then I'll use one of the
suggestions here.

That's interesting... They used to offer HyperTerminal Private Edition
as a free download. I guess since it's no longer pre-installed on new
versions of Windows, they figured they can make money off of it by
selling it.

This question is incomplete
The data path from the C= to the PC was through a CMD SWIFTLINK
cartridge and then through a NULL modem. For my new WINDOWS 7 system,
I will run the data through a USB to SERIAL adapter. If I knew how
to connect a C= to a TELNET WEB site, I could use PUTTY on the PC
side. The other suggested programs either have no ZMODEM or don't
run on WINDOWS 7 or have have other deficiencies. I need somebody to
either tell me how to connect a C128D to TELNET or give me a complete
substitute for HYPERTERM that runs on a WINDOWS 7 system and can use
ZMODEM through a USB to SERIAL adapter.
