From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Kir=E1ly?= on 17 Sep 2009 01:00 Running 10.5.8 on a G4, iTunes 9, and QT Player 7.6.4. I have downloaded and installed the XiphQT 0.1.9 plugin for QuickTime, which is supposed to enable the playing of .flac lossless audio files in iTunes and QuickTime. But it doesn't seem to work. iTunes just won't import any .flac files, and QuickTime gives me a "The movie could not be opened. The file is not a movie file" error. I have installed the plugin in /Library/Components and tried again in ~/Library/Components. No dice. I downloaded the plugin from here: http://www.xiph.org/quicktime/ What am I doing wrong? -- K. You are right - googling "flac itunes mac" was just leading me to that page. I found this page, downloaded and istalled this as well as the other, and now all is well. Thanks! -- K. I found a thing called Fluke, I'll see how that goes. -- K. Lang may your lum reek.
