From: Archimedes Plutonium on 27 May 2010 02:20 To create a 3D iron filings with magnet experiment you simply need a glass jar with lid and the filings inside and the magnet on the outside. There is a fancy toy that does this experiment of a enclosed plastic box with the magnet nestled in between. But to duplicate the experiment is cheaply done with a glass jar, filings and magnet. Now what I am calling the tubes formed is that there are spacers between what can be called filaments or ropes or strings of filings. The central mass of filings nearest the magnet is not able to discern these voids between the filaments. Now I suspect physics has some formal name for these structures of filings as ropes or strings. Possibly even borrowed terms from geology to describe these filaments of filings, such as perhaps "eskars". Or perhaps the shapes have been connotated as "whiskers of filings". I shall use the terms ropes or filaments or tubes of filings. Now I wonder if anyone has ever bothered to construct a microscope peering into the magnet and iron filings formation. Whether anyone allied a microscope with these experiments of the magnetic lines of force. Or as I called them tubes of force in 3D? One can see the tubes on the outlying filings, not the central mass of filings closest to the magnet. And I played around with a smaller magnet with a few amount of filings and was able to have a sort of ensemble of these ropy or stringy filings move around. Now I suspect the reason there is "empty space" between these tubes or ropes of filings, is because the magnetic field creates a vortex of emptiness between successive tubes or ropes of filings. And the ropes or tubes seem to have some coherent integrity for they move as "one body". So can we devise an advanced experiment that allys the microscope with these filings so that we can see an "in close view" of these ropes or filaments of filings and the voids in between? Now a Big Bang theory of an explosion also has voids and emptiness between that of the conglomeration of matter. But an explosion pattern is far far different from the pattern of a magnet and EM. The fact that the Voids of astronomy such as the Fornax Void or the Capricornus Void and their neighborhood of voids is explained not by an explosion effect but rather by the action of a Cosmic magnetic field. When I take a less powerful magnet and play around with only a few iron filings, I can make them almost move around as if they were soldiers marching in a formation, all of them keeping a certain distance apart from their neighbor. And this reminds me of the Jarrett mapping of the galaxies that the voids and galaxies seem to have that integral cohesion of galaxies with voids precisely spaced. For take a look again at this website: http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/nearsc.html http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/wnearsc.gif For it appears as though the Voids are precision placed such as a magetic lines of force. But perhaps the most striking resemblance are the superclusters such as the P-P as long filaments or tubes or whiskers of galaxies. It seems as though all the superclusters and walls are long whiskers of galaxies. Archimedes Plutonium http://www.iw.net/~a_plutonium/ whole entire Universe is just one big atom where dots of the electron-dot-cloud are galaxies
