From: daywalker13 on 4 Aug 2006 12:40 Hi folks. I've got a 2.9 box that experienced a pretty hard crash overnight, and we're trying to get the box back up. At the moment, /var is hosed, and fsck is unhappy, eventually exiting with a "BAD STATE 0x52 TO BLKERR" message. I've done some digging, and every reference to this error simply tells me to "contact a guru". :) So, any guru's out there who can provide a little guidance? Here's the full fsck output: fsck -F ufs -o b=12539408 -y /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s5 Alternate super block location: 12539408. ** /dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s5 ** Last Mounted on ** Phase 1 - Check Blocks and Sizes FRAGMENT 67368 DUP I=1921 LFN 136 FRAGMENT 67369 DUP I=1921 LFN 137 FRAGMENT 67370 DUP I=1921 LFN 138 FRAGMENT 67371 DUP I=1921 LFN 139 FRAGMENT 67372 DUP I=1921 LFN 140 FRAGMENT 67373 DUP I=1921 LFN 141 FRAGMENT 67374 DUP I=1921 LFN 142 FRAGMENT 67375 DUP I=1921 LFN 143 FRAGMENT 916320 DUP I=1948 LFN 88 FRAGMENT 916321 DUP I=1948 LFN 89 FRAGMENT 916322 DUP I=1948 LFN 90 FRAGMENT 916323 DUP I=1948 LFN 91 FRAGMENT 916324 DUP I=1948 LFN 92 FRAGMENT 916325 DUP I=1948 LFN 93 FRAGMENT 916326 DUP I=1948 LFN 94 FRAGMENT 916327 DUP I=1948 LFN 95 FRAGMENT 916328 DUP I=1948 LFN 96 FRAGMENT 916329 DUP I=1948 LFN 97 EXCESSIVE DUPLICATE FRAGMENTS I=1948 CONTINUE? yes FRAGMENT 916400 DUP I=2461 LFN 88 FRAGMENT 916401 DUP I=2461 LFN 89 FRAGMENT 916402 DUP I=2461 LFN 90 FRAGMENT 916403 DUP I=2461 LFN 91 FRAGMENT 916404 DUP I=2461 LFN 92 FRAGMENT 916405 DUP I=2461 LFN 93 FRAGMENT 916406 DUP I=2461 LFN 94 FRAGMENT 916407 DUP I=2461 LFN 95 FRAGMENT 19960508 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 104 FRAGMENT 236 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 120 FRAGMENT 221059 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 128 FRAGMENT 33619953 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 136 FRAGMENT 19960744 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 152 FRAGMENT 468 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 168 FRAGMENT 221074 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 176 FRAGMENT 33619953 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 184 FRAGMENT 19961212 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 200 FRAGMENT 460 OUT OF RANGE I=2461 LFN 216 EXCESSIVE BAD FRAGMENTS I=2461 CONTINUE? yes FRAGMENT 221059 DUP I=7393 LFN 10003 FRAGMENT 221060 DUP I=7393 LFN 10004 FRAGMENT 221061 DUP I=7393 LFN 10005 FRAGMENT 221062 DUP I=7393 LFN 10006 FRAGMENT 221063 DUP I=7393 LFN 10007 FRAGMENT 221064 DUP I=7393 LFN 10008 FRAGMENT 221065 DUP I=7393 LFN 10009 FRAGMENT 221066 DUP I=7393 LFN 10010 FRAGMENT 221074 DUP I=7393 LFN 10018 FRAGMENT 221075 DUP I=7393 LFN 10019 EXCESSIVE DUPLICATE FRAGMENTS I=7393 CONTINUE? yes ** Phase 1b - Rescan For More DUPS FRAGMENT 67368 DUP I=1881 LFN 168 FRAGMENT 67369 DUP I=1881 LFN 169 FRAGMENT 67370 DUP I=1881 LFN 170 FRAGMENT 67371 DUP I=1881 LFN 171 FRAGMENT 67372 DUP I=1881 LFN 172 FRAGMENT 67373 DUP I=1881 LFN 173 FRAGMENT 67374 DUP I=1881 LFN 174 FRAGMENT 67375 DUP I=1881 LFN 175 FRAGMENT 916320 DUP I=1898 LFN 88 UPDATE STANDARD SUPERBLOCK? yes BAD STATE 0x52 TO BLKERR
