From: Jeff on 3 Jan 2010 09:38 I have a trash company called "AAA Recycling ......" Even though I have it linked its transaction to a category about trash, Quicken 2008 sometimes links it to my Auto category instead. Of course I correct it as I accept the downloaded transaction but is there a way to permanently unlink it from the faulty category assigned to it? Thanks. Jeff

Good to catch people who look up recycling in the yellow pages. Quicken thinks you are aiming at the American Automobile Asociation, I think. Best advice I would have is to rename the recyc ling company in your Quicken to "Recycling AAA". Quicken then should not have a problem remembering. YMMV! -- Best regards Han email address is invalid
From: Art McClinton on 3 Jan 2010 11:09 I also have the same company. Since I have them set up as a scheduled transaction the category is automatic. I also have an heating and AC repair company with similar name. I entered them as a memorized payment and have had not further attempts by Quicken to assign the auto category. I did have the one time problem when AAA recycling changed its name this year. To answer your question, either make it a memorized transaction or a scheduled transaction and it will resolve your issue. <Jeff(a)couldbeinvalid.com> wrote in message news:nZ10n.11652$w21.8236(a)newsfe17.iad... >I have a trash company called "AAA Recycling ......" From: ebloch on 3 Jan 2010 13:32 Maybe AAArecycling would work and be closeer to the true name ?
