Running FreeBSD 7.3-REL, while building glib-2.24.1 the post-install
part stalls, so the port never finishes installing. The offending
line is:

/usr/local/bin/gio-querymodules /usr/local/lib/gio/modules/

Running this manually produces the same result - gio-querymodules
stalls with no output.

Hi,

just note.

I have 2 boxes with 8.0-REL-p2, on one it upgraded ok, but on other
one it did same thing as you wrote.

I tried to delete glib, gio,mc packages and now I can't install mc as
glib+gio is required.

Exact same issue here. Anyone found a way around this yet?

I did an HUP on the hung process and the install of glib20 completed.
However, when upgrading to gio-fam-backend-2.22.4 the same happens,
but the HUP "trick" does not work here.

i am experiencing this problem as well on 8.0-REL. figured it was
somehow port related so i waited a week before attempting a rebuild,
same result as before after a cvsup of the ports tree. could it be a
hardware related issue? the machine in question is a Toshiba Portege
M200 laptop with a intel centrino processor.
