hi, this is the first time i'm writing to a usenet group. I've
realized that slackware's group is a google's usenet group. I want to
configure knode to use as a news client, but i can't find the
information about google' servers. please give me a hand.
thanks

Forget google, they just happen to archive usenet, and created the
worst ever web interface to usenet. Google done evil there,
particularly fostering this notion that google run usenet, rather,
they help wrecking the place.

Access usenet via your ISP's news feed, look for something like
news.your_isp_name.com on your ISP's setup page.

Failing that, you might use a free or pay for usenet provider. I
find that the free eternal-september.org service does a better job
than my ISP's spotty news server access.

No idea what you mean about "slackware's group is a google's usenet group"

My Usenet server has 3 slackware groups.
alt.os.linux.slackware
alt.pl.comp.os.linux.slackware
free.it.linux.slackware

I suggest you configure knode to use a Usenet server which carries the
slackware group of your choice.

yes, I'm sorry, I'm new to Usenet and just want to get knode working. I'm
writing this from knode now! Thanks Grant, I made an account in
eternal-september. Now I have to improve my english so I can use the
tools :D

No.
Usenet is independent from google. There are many newsservers which
provide this newsgroup (and many other).
