I think I held the shift key down too long and the smart keys are active. The
paragraph icon shows between all spaced lines, there are dots between all
spaces in the sentences, etc. How do I turn this off? Please Help!

Note that you shouldn't be spacing your lines by typing ENTER, but
rather by adjusting Line Spacing and Space Before/After in Format >
Paragraph.
