You actually have an Exchange mail server to which you connect? If so, and since it is very likely this would be at work, contact your IT folks to ask what are the correct settings to define an Exchange account in Outlook. Of course, they should've been the ones that installed the new version of Windows (and NOT you) using a sysprep image of what Windows 7 image they want on the company's workstations assuming that your company actually permitted migration to Windows 7 from whatever was the company-authorized prior version of Windows.
