Hello,

If someone writes a really good m-code, will matlab eventually incorporate it (and perhaps optimize it even more) into the next version of the software ? And how long would this take (or how many downloads does it need to get ) ?

There is no expectation that such a thing happens.
In fact, I can't think of many cases at all where it has
happened.

The file exchange is not there as a proving ground for
software to be eventually incorporated into MATLAB.
