The first example in the hist3 function shows a density histogram and intensity map plotted on the same figure. When I follow the exact instructions (with the Seamount data) they don't appear together - I can show one or the other but not both on the same figure. Can anyone help please?

It may be that you're leaving out the "hold on" in that example.
