hi dear all

i would like to extract the mean, standard deviation, power, energy and entropy statistical features of the ORL facial images features coefficients from bior2.2 wavelets with 4 level of decomposition and used this statistical features for classification the faces. if any one know how to extract these features plz help me

Hi Nadir, This is your 4th post of almost identical content (the specified wavelet family differed on one post) on the same day. I think you need to give people a chance to see your post and respond.

There are a couple of submissions on the file exchange that implement face recognition, but not using wavelets as far as I can tell from a cursory inspection.

Have you done anything? are you getting stuck in the code somewhere, or are you just hoping someone will give you all the necessary code?

The Wavelet Toolbox supports the biorthogonal 2.2 wavelet and you can certainly decompose and image and extract the detail coefficients at a prescribed level. Do you have the Wavelet Toolbox software?

Wayne

Do you have the Wavelet Toolbox software? I don't know whether to infer from the fact that you did the decomposition that you have the software or not. There are other wavelet transform MATLAB programs available.
