From: ls on 10 Apr 2010 08:57 I have the CD for Office 2003 and have just bought a mini laptop which doesn't have a CD drive. Is there any way I can install my copy of Office without the CD?

Then you can install Office from there. -- "Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you."
From: JoAnn Paules on 10 Apr 2010 10:30 I have to ask: If you know that it doesn't have an optical drive, why didn't you buy an external one when you bought the netbook? I'm not being sarcastic. I've seen many people ask the same thing you have and I can't imagine why they didn't invest a few extra dollars in an external drive for installing software. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "ls" <ls(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5AD98EA0-83DE-49F5-9405-86EF887EF846(a)microsoft.com... >I have the CD for Office 2003 and have just bought a mini laptop which > doesn't have a CD drive. From: Earle Horton on 10 Apr 2010 11:20 In addition to what others have said, you can also pop the Office 2003 CD into your desktop CD drive, and share it on your LAN from there, assuming of course that you have a desktop and a LAN.
