That looks wrong to me. It says

... the only correct delimiter is ``- ''

(that is a direct cut-and-paste). Also, the next section has some very
odd things in it. It looks like the page has had some automatic
processing done on it that has not worked!

How is a reader supposed to know which is correct? The footnote helps
in that it makes it clear that there is *something* wrong, but it can't
clear up the confusion it causes.
