you know what, i went to a Microsoft power-users forum/discussion
group and asked them if they knew of a minicom, GIMP, kwrite, LaTex or
apache for Windows, and not a single person there knew...

strange huh? you would think that they would know what all of those
were...but, apparently not..

having not been been using Redmond software since 1995 i ask:
You wanna tell me what "hyper terminal" is, or should i guess?

hyper-terminal is an application that allows you to access network devices
such as switch's and routers so as to configure them for use.

No problem i done my home work and found two by my self and the reply from
John Hasler gave me five more.

I'd have thought they'd know what Apache was, if only because it's a
competitor to IIS. As to the rest,

Basically, it's a combination of ssh, telnet and minicom, all wrapped
up in a one package. Or it was the last time I used it, sometime around
2000.
