I wonder it it would be possible to use it with an iPhone/iTouch as they
both use the same 30-pin connector?

If it was possible, it would get round the sheer awfulness of typing
into the iPhone or iTouch. I might even buy one...

It might look strange with a keyboard dwarfing the docked
iPhone/iTouch's screen? :) I you're thinking like that, I think you're
in the market for an iPad...

I'm sure it would. But it would be in the seclusion of my own home, so
the shame factor would be very low.

Hmmmm.... A different price category (especially as I already have an
iTouch) and a very different size for walking about with...

That logic only holds if you're not thinking of carrying around the
keyboard dock! Actually I'd already reached the conclusion that if I
needed to carry around a keyboard dock, I might as well just continue to
carry around my laptop. So if I were to go down the path of an iPad to
replace my iBook for normal use, I would leave one keyboard dock at work
and one at home.

As an aside, it is interesting how apple have recycled the word iBook.
It's almost as if they are pressuring me to upgrade, since they've even
retired the *name* of my machine...
