From: Fred Moore on 8 Feb 2010 16:17 Now that the iPad is on the way, I'm curious about the kazillion iPhone (iPad) apps on Apple's web site. Trouble is, Apple seems to provide the same crummy search capabilities it does for its tech info. I often use Google to find tech docs on Apple's website in lieu of Apple's own search function. So, is there some site which catalogs and evaluates iPhone apps besides Apple's? I checked VersionTracker, but they didn't have much. Or perhaps there's some search function on Apple's site I missed. I'm not looking for any particular kind of app, I just want to survey what's available, ideally in a compressed laundry list format, the way VersionTracker presents search results. For a start, I'd like to search for highly rated, free apps, sorted by category. That way I could find a really good fart app without having to pay for one. ;) Any pointers? Thanks.
