From: Geoff Berrow on 27 Apr 2010 05:52 Can't find the convert to AAC option on the latest iTunes which I used to use to create my own ringtones. However I've just successfully made one using Audacity. Up yours, Jobs. -- Geoff Berrow (Put thecat out to email) It's only Usenet, no one dies. My opinions, not the committee's, mine. It's still there in the latest that I have. Select a track in your music and in the Advanced menu you have a 'Create AAC Version'. However this option changes based upon the import settings chosen in the General tab of the setting. If your settings are for MP3 then you get a 'Create MP3 Version' -- Andy Templeman <http://www.templeman.org.uk/>

Still worked here the other day when I tried [1]. Could be the source file you was looking at was already in AAC at the same settings as the importing util? [1] The convert tunes to 128kbps for the iphone breakes ringtones at a higher quality, so had to rerip them. -- Jon B Above email address IS valid. <http://www.bramley-computers.co.uk/> Apple Laptop Repairs.

Ah yes, I was right clicking the file, that's why I couldn't find it. It's still easier to do it in Audacity. :) -- Geoff Berrow (Put thecat out to email) It's only Usenet, no one dies.
