iTunes keeps "Determining Gapless Playback Information" across some 1300
tunes - seems to only happen when iPod is connected.

Even when I haven't added any new files to iTunes or the iPod.

Why?

Can I stop it?

Could it be related to this?

<http://www.macworld.com/article/151161/2010/05/stopitunesresync.html>

Mine kept syncing the same nine tracks every time. Upgrading to 9.1.1
(12) from 9.1.1 (11) using the file from Apple's download page sorted
this out. (Software update did not offer the upgrade).

The explanation in the article does not make sense in my case, because I
had not recently played the tracks in question.

The description of the problems seems to be close to what I'm suffering
......

I'll download and try.

Thanks,
