I believe this question must have been addressed before but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I just want to hold the length of the imline tool after I have set it. In other words can I hold the distance between the two end points constant but still allow for the line to be rotated and moved. Is there a simple way to do this? My back up plan is to use two impoints with a constraint function on the second point related to the first But I am not sure how I would create a circular constraint function?

I am trying to track the edge of an object through multiple pictures but it would be nice if I could set the length of the imline from a reference pic.

Any suggestions or even a start off point would be greatly appreciated,
