Is there a way to insert an interactive checkbox into Word? I have a table
in which I would like to insert a checkbox, so that a recipient can click it
on and off. Is this possible?

The only kind of check box that can be checked or unchecked with a single
click is a check box form field, which requires that the entire document (or
at least a specific section) be protected for forms. For a check box that
can be turned on or off with a double click, see
