From: lancej1972 on 30 May 2007 09:45 I know that somewhere in Windows XP there is a file that lists the web sites I've visited, thereby maintaining a record of those visits and is associated with IE so it cannot be deleted, as I know about the temporary internet files and where they are, does anybody have any ideas about it?
From: Leonard Grey on 30 May 2007 10:19 It's known as History and you can find it by opening Internet Explorer and pressing CTRL+H. However, Windows deletes old History information when its age exceeds the number of days you set (maximum = 99) and History can be deleted manually at any time. --- Leonard Grey Errare humanum est lancej1972(a)gmail.com wrote: > I know that somewhere in Windows XP there is a file that lists the web > sites I've visited, > thereby maintaining a record of those visits and is associated with IE > so it cannot be deleted, as I know about the temporary internet files > and where they are, does anybody have any ideas about it? >

From: needlove on 31 May 2007 01:26 Its fine if you delete the websites you visited off of your hard drive..takes about 35 passes, "Peter Guttman algorythym"... http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/ to satisfactorilly remove any trace... make sure your OS isn't moving files around as with automatic indexing or pagefile deletion . Yet, the website you visited can have your IP address and MAC address archieved for many years. Meaning, your computer was there.
