It picked the bttv module. Failed dismally with MythTV and kdetv but works just fine with tvtime Regards, David Bolt -- Team Acorn: www.distributed.net OGR-NG @ ~100Mnodes RC5-72 @ ~1Mkeys/s openSUSE 11.0 32b | | | openSUSE 11.3M0 32b openSUSE 11.0 64b | openSUSE 11.1 64b | openSUSE 11.2 64b | TOS 4.02 | openSUSE 11.1 PPC | RISC OS 4.02 | RISC OS 3.11

Failed dismally with MythTV and kdetv but > works just fine with tvtime > Hi: This card (I have one) can be a bit tricky to setup, and a blank screen is a common problem. First, there are a number of versions, with diffent tuners, and unless you identify the correct one, it won't work. Second, there are a large number of options that can be set, also under YAST using the Expert settings button on the Edit page. Ok, remove the card, and very gently lift the label off the tuner (the tin can), until you can see another label that may say TVF5533MF, or something else. Write that down, and replace the label, reinstall the card. Run YAST, Hardware, TV Tuner, select the card, and then click EDIT Select Leadteck, and Winfast2000/2000XP. Now click Tuner and scan down until you find something that resembles your tuner label, in my case Ymek Tvision TVF-5533MF. Click OK, and then click Expert Settings. Scan down the Settings, on the left and look for Card, which should have the number 34 following it. The set the following values: chroma_agc 1 combfilter 1 lumafilter 1 tuner 59 (should be already set, and 59 is only for the Ymec 5533) v4l2 1 vcr_hack 1 Now click Next and setup the audio link. As you may guess, I have had to do this a few times, and once done the card should work with any V4L2 compliant package, I use FFMPEG, I have used Mencoder and Mplayer plus others. The card is not the best, but does quite well. You may get a solid green line at the bottom of the screen, this can be masked out with options to ffmpeg when recording.
