Uh, not quite. You can actually program in MSIL if you had a desire to and
there are several learning resources out there devoted to it. And the term
CIL has been in use interchangably with MSIL (or just IL if you like) since
..NET's inception. The term MSIL and IL are still valid and widely used
today.
