From: mannu on 23 Feb 2010 01:22 Hello, What is the directory where oracle asmlib disks are created under solaris? On linux, the directory is "/dev/oracleasm/disks". I need to know the equivalent directory in solaris. Also does asmlib create both "block" and "raw" devices on solaris? Thanks and Regards, Mannu.

Apparently wherevver you want them. We have them under /dev/vx/dsk but I expect you'll get a different location from others who may respond. David Fitzjarrell

I answered only part of your post. Yes, both block and raw devices are created as we also have them located under /dev/vs/rdsk. David Fitzjarrell
