I ran a disc defragment and when it was done all of my family's user profiles
were gone except the one I was logged onto. How do I find those profiles and
restore them. They are not in C>Documents and Settings.

Windows Defragmentation does not (AFAIK) delete anything. Not saying that
it couldn't have - although that functionality is not a part of the
application (which is just a miniature version/basic version of an older
Diskeeper.)

Are you logged in as a user with adminstrative rights and are all files
shown (unhidden)?

Can you still log in as the other users?

Have you tried looking with something like Recuva or UnDelete?

Are your backups current?
