From: David Zielinski on 18 Jun 2010 11:07 Hello, we have a 6 sided cave-type system and are interested in using matlab. Even just being able to view 3d plots would be nice. Our physical system is 6 computers and also a master node. We have real-time tracking data for the head and hand position. We'd need to: (1) have the renderers [6] in full screen w/ active [quad buffered] stereo . * this also involves using an asymmetric viewing frustrum. see the below page for the difference between 'toed in stereo' and asymmetric. http://www.orthostereo.com/geometryopengl.html (2) the different renderers would need to be frame synchronized [so the buffer swaps happen at the same time]. (2) the head position would need to be distributed to each render node. (3) we'd need the viewpoint for the rendering to be dependent on the head position Is this possible with simulink? If not, how extendable is simulink? ie, plugins / source code. I can help develop the above listed features if necessary. Best, -Dave
