I contacted the owner of MF.sys and provided all the information. They don't
know the cause of this issue. They haven't seen any issues with MF. No
changes have been made to MF since the early days of vista. My suggestion to
you is that you contact Microsoft DDK support and have them repro this issue
with your hardware. They can then work with the product team and figure out
what's going on.
