My computer is giving a message that it could not load the update microsoft.net franework1.1 sp1 security update for XP KB979906. How do I getit to upload and if I can't how do I get rid of the Yellow shield on the bottom of my tasbar tellin me I have update. I am not a computer person so I need help???

Open Internet Explorer (only) to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com | Select
CUSTOM and scan | Install any Critical Security Updates offered (e.g.,
KB982381). If a Root Certificates update is listed in the Optional Software
updates category on the left-hand side of the scan results window, install
it to take full advantage of IE's enhanced security.

Once you are done, return to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com & click on
Show Update History in left-hand menu: What, if any, updates failed to
install (KB number, please) and what, if any, errors are associated with the
failed installs?
