From: Richard Mealing on 16 Apr 2010 04:39 Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with running milter- ahead on a mailscanner machine (FreeBSD)? I know this is off topic, but Ive been trying to contact the list but I keep getting a bounce! I just have 1 problem that maybe someone here can help me with? Problem - Im doing +mx-lookup but also -ignore-rcpt-host. I want to ignore recipient host but when I enable this I just get a broken pipe. If it fails to connect to the MX on a hosts and these hosts are available via port 25 (ie just the domain name (telnet example.com 25 - rather than - telnet mail.example.com 25), It connects to that and gives back an invalid answer, bouncing the email back to sender. It only seems to happen periodically, so when the MX is busy I guess. If anyone has any ideas, I can send my config file, if you want to see it and some examples of whats happening. Sorry to bombard the list. Rich |
