Hi KS, Think about it like that; if you perform a task and it costs you the same amount as budgeted then the Cost Variance (CV) is zero, however, if it was performed later than scheduled (say one week late), then Schedule Variance (SV) is the monetary value of the time delay (in this case one week). Remember that (SV=BCWP−BCWS). the question you mentioned is asking about the value of "Progress difference" not about the value of "Cost difference" Hope that helps A.
