From: Geoff Schaller on 11 Jul 2010 18:26 You should put this notice in the clipper news group. There are still a bunch of blokes there clinging to their 16 bit loves of their lives... From: richard.townsendrose on 12 Jul 2010 02:47 Geoff this was the reply i had from one of the biggest collections of hardware and software in the us. "None of those systems are worth keeping, but please recycle them responsibly. Thanks - Steven Stengel, http://oldcomputers.net" so it is all destined for the tip ... just amazing how much paper and manuals and disks came with software in the "auld days" - word perfect 4 - yes, been with them a long time - had FIFTY floppy disks ! But I am keeping supercalc 4 [on just 5 floppies, incluing manual in word perfect !] because even today there is not a single spreadsheet that can match it ... mind you these days you would never even think of using a spreadsheet for some of the applications which were written for it. few years ago i ditched the vo 1, and ca-ret manuals - a whole frigging book case - much of it was still in its orinal wrapping - unopened. richard
