From: V on 16 Dec 2009 14:27 My word 2007 is locked, I can't use the keys and I'm not sure what to do with it. I just got it within a month ago and I'm not sure what the product key is. When I tried to enter it the last time from a confirmation, there were too much numbers. Help.
From: Stefan Blom on 16 Dec 2009 14:38 Have you activated the product? Is it a full version or a trial version? If it's a trial version, it may have expired, in which case you'll have to buy the full version. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "V" <V(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9ADADAF2-1D5A-4A8E-8F14-249A23B10659(a)microsoft.com... > My word 2007 is locked, I can't use the keys and I'm not sure what to do > with > it. From: V on 16 Dec 2009 17:17 Well, I assume its the full version- I bought it from Microoft-ultimate steal-home and student use. I tried to activate it by pasting the Product key, which had (FPP): and then some characters with dashes in between every five characters, but it says that it is incorrect and type the correct one. I don't know what is the correct one. I took those characters from the confirmation e-mail. I tried typing it out as well, still useless. From: Jay Freedman on 16 Dec 2009 17:28 Just put in the 25 letters and numbers. Don't put in the (FPP): part. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. From: V on 16 Dec 2009 18:59 Please, help me. I already tried it without that, I just typed the 25 characters, or pasted it. It's still incorrect. The e-mail confirmation doesn't have a number I can ring and I'm starting to get annoyed that I wasn't given any message that says the functionality mode may be limited if not activated within a certain number of usage before I press cancelling the set up. I've tried to activate it so many times, but the product key is not correct. I downloaded it, so I'm not sure if the vendor is my university since I used my university e-mail address for the student discount and the e-mail confirmation states it is not an address that i can reply to.
