Not easily. One way to do it would be to purchase the shareware utility Pacifist, which allows you to install individual files out of installation packages. You would need to reinstall Network Utility using the 10.4 install DVD for your computer (the one you used to install 10.4 on it in the first place, or the original DVD which came with the computer if it was supplied with some version of 10.4). Afterwards, you would need to reinstall the 10.4.11 Combo Update, then the final security update for 10.4.11. If you have a spare hard drive, or another computer running 10.4.11, an easier method would be to copy Network Utility from another installed system, then use Repair Permissions in Disk Utility to fix its permissions. -- David Empson dempson(a)actrix.gen.nz

There's lots. Presumably he means /Applications/Utilities/Network Utility.app. -- Barry Margolin, barmar(a)alum.mit.edu Arlington, MA *** PLEASE post questions in newsgroups, not directly to me *** *** PLEASE don't copy me on replies, I'll read them in the group ***
