From: CFY30 CFY30 on 29 Mar 2010 00:30 Hi all, I tried to plot the pole-zero of the function 1/(s^2 + 2s + 1) by zplane([1], [1 2 1]). How come there are two zeros at 0+0j ? What do I missed? Thanks, cfy30

I am not familiar with that function, and I cannot explain why the zeros would appear at 0+0j, but notice that 1/(s^2 + 2*s + 1) is 1/(s+1)^2 . It is thus to be expected that there is a double zero at the same position, leading to a double pole at that position -- but I would expect those pole to be -1+0j . |
