Hi all.

Anyone know of a nmap like util that will scan the network and list the
number of devices found (up) and their OS etc. ? but works faster than
nmap ?

I'm trying to enumerate the network every 30 seconds and the first
instance hasn't finished before the second, and then third instance gets
fired off, the idea is to profile usage over an hour of different
wireless devices logging on/off etc, some devices come and go for just a
few seconds and get missed.

ntop might do close to what you are looking for.
