i have 2 related questions:
1) will installing the 32-bit version of matlab on a 64 bit windows machine allow for the data acquisition toolbox?

2) are there plans to make it available in 64-bit some time in the future? I wanted to take advantage of using everything in 64 bit, but without the data acquisition, what's the point?

1) not likely as this is depending on the hw/sw interface (ie, drivers) and not on ML...
2) ...what's the point(?)... good point(!)...

Hi Neal,

Regarding your question #1 - see this solution
http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/en/data/1-1CAT7/?solution=1-1CAT7 for running 32 bit MATLAB on Windows 64.
There is a note that the parallel port cannot be accessed from Data Acquisition Toolbox.

Hope that helps,
Sherryl
