From: luna on 4 May 2007 10:40 im really at a loss with this one still, driving me insane we can mail all domains no problem one particular domain cannot reply to us they are running 2000 we are running 2007 ive checked the filter logs and they are getting through ive disabled all filters, added anonymous access to the smtp connectors - you name it i've tried it, in the logs i get X-EXPS GSSAPI 334 <authentication response>, 334 <authentication response>, *,,Inbound Negotiate failed because of LogonDenied 454 4.7.0 Temporary authentication failure, when they send to our server they also get an NDR that says "This message was rejected due to the current administrative policy by the destination server." however they can telnet our server fine, and send email from that but mail just queues up at their server for us, obviously i cant check their settings (their server is sending mail to other domains no problem at all) , is there any pointers i should give them as to what the problem may be ? theres nothing else i can try - at a total loss mark
From: luna on 4 May 2007 11:51 ok think its working but ive had to set the default receive connector to have basic authentication only and anonymous access, with nothing else checked - is this good practice ? the server is a hub server connected to the internet mark "luna" <luna_s(a)themoon.com> wrote in message news:GtOdnUPuwJRo2KbbnZ2dnUVZ8silnZ2d(a)giganews.com... > im really at a loss with this one still, driving me insane > > we can mail all domains no problem > one particular domain cannot reply to us > > they are running 2000 we are running 2007 > > ive checked the filter logs and they are getting through > > ive disabled all filters, added anonymous access to the smtp connectors - > you name it i've tried it, > > in the logs i get > > X-EXPS GSSAPI > 334 <authentication response>, > 334 <authentication response>, > *,,Inbound Negotiate failed because of LogonDenied > 454 4.7.0 Temporary authentication failure, > > when they send to our server > > they also get an NDR that says "This message was rejected due to the > current administrative policy by the destination server." > > however they can telnet our server fine, and send email from that > > but mail just queues up at their server for us, obviously i cant check > their settings (their server is sending mail to other domains no problem > at all) > , is there any pointers i should give them as to what the problem may be ? > > > theres nothing else i can try - at a total loss > > mark > > > > >

Hi, You need anonymous access if you want to receive mails from all internet hosts.
